Week 6 Winners & Losers

There were plenty of big games to go around this Sunday in the NFL, some from the stars you expect to see near the top and a couple breakout performances from lesser names as well.

Jay Ajayi – Miami Dolphins – 32.7 points Ajayi was only started in 5% of all ESPN leagues this week, mostly due to the fact that his fellow backfield mate Arian Foster was finally active for the first time since Week 2. Ajayi made Foster an afterthought however with a terrific performance gaining 204 yards on 25 carries for 2 touchdowns. Most assumed the worst but McCoy was able to come back after halftime and finish his great game running the ball 19 times for 140 yards and 3 touchdowns against a terrible San Francisco run defense. Kenny Britt – Los Angeles Rams – 25.6 points Only 4.1% of ESPN leagues featured Kenny Britt in a starting lineup this week but he made those owners very happy with a 7 for 136 day that also featured 2 touchdowns. Britt has been a steady performer all season long but today was the first time he found the end zone. We’ll see if these type of numbers can continue or if this was just a product of going against a poor Detroit defense. Rob Gronkowski – New England Patriots – 22.2 points Finally Gronk was able to reward his fantasy owners with a performance worthy of a first round pick. Gronkowski caught 7 passes for 162 yards and also added a touchdown in a win for New England.

Isaiah Crowell – Cleveland Browns – 3.6 points Two straight weeks Crowell has put together a poor game. This time it was 9 carries for 16 yards. But Coleman was never able to get going today, running the ball just 5 times for 10 yards and catching 1 pass for 7 yards. Antonio Brown – Pittsburgh Steelers – 4.5 points The Steelers team themselves should be in this category. What a terrible performance for Pittsburgh against a poor Miami team.
